Cord That Gets Softer
This one is cut from a mid-wale corduroy, so the ribs are deep enough to see and the surface has a bit of give. The pile softens the more you wear it without going flat, which means the jacket looks better in its second winter than its first. Cord also holds warmth better than a plain cotton jacket of the same weight.

A Collar For The Wind
The stand collar turns up and stays up, closing the gap at your neck when the weather turns. Left down it sits neat over a roll neck or a shirt, so the same jacket works for a walk on Saturday and a table booked for Saturday night. Turned up it cuts the draught on a cold platform in a way a flat lapel never manages.

Simple Solid Build
