The outer shell is treated to shed water, so a downpour on the walk to the car or halfway round a hill runs off instead of soaking through. It cuts the wind at the same time, which is often the part that actually makes you cold. Zipped up it seals right to the chin.

Fleece Right Through
The whole body, sleeves and hood are lined in thick fleece, so the warmth is there the moment you put it on rather than building up slowly. That means you can wear it over a tee in autumn and over a jumper in January. The fleece collar sits soft against the neck.

Built For Actual Use
There is a drawstring hood for when the weather turns, a zipped chest pocket for a phone and two lower pockets deep enough for cold hands. The cut is roomy across the shoulders so you can reach and work in it. Earthy greens, browns and greys keep it practical.
