Shape Before Decoration
There is no print, no trim and no beading on this dress. Everything it does comes from the cut. A corset bodice with vertical seams pulls the waist in tight, and the skirt then falls away from that narrow point, which is what gives the whole gown its long dramatic outline.

Draped Across The Hip
Soft gathers run diagonally across one hip where the bodice meets the skirt. They break the join, add movement to a very clean dress and skim over the stomach on the way past. Below them the fabric drops straight to the floor and then flares out into a fishtail at the hem.

Straps And A Square Neck
Wide straps sit off the shoulder line and a square neckline keeps the chest open, so a single pendant or a pair of drop earrings is all the jewellery it needs. There are several deep shades on offer. Hang it up after the event and steam out the creases instead of pressing them flat.
